Degree Programme

  1. Bachelor of Laws

Entry Requirement:

  1. Be a holder of a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a mean grade of at least C+ (Plus) or its equivalent with a minimum grade B (Plain) in English or Kiswahili.
    OR
  2. Be a holder of a Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (K.A.C.E) with at least three principal passes.
    OR
  3. Be a holder of a Degree from a recognized University.
    OR
  4. A credit passes in a Diploma in Law examination from an accredited institution.

Course Duration:

The SEKU SoL LL.B programme is undertaken within a four-year period.

The SEKU SOL LL.B Programme Curriculum

As an Accredited School of Law, licensed for the next five years by the Council of Legal Education (CLE), it offers the 16 Statutory and mandatory Core Units as follows 1. Legal Research, 2. Law of Torts, 3. Law of Contract, 4. Legal Systems and Methods, 5. Criminal Law, 6. Family Law and Succession, 7. Law of Evidence, 8. Commercial Law (including Sale of Goods, Hire Purchase and Agency), 9. Law of Business Associations (to include Insolvency), 10. Administrative Law, 11. Constitutional Law, 12. Jurisprudence, 13.Equity and the Law of Trusts, 14. Property Law, 15. Public International Law, and 16. Labour Law. Additionally, the SEKU SoL identified and expounded units from its niche areas of Laws in Electoral, Sustainable Development, Dryland Agriculture, and Management and Conservation of Natural Resources and Environment. Our History
